Where changes are made to material information contained in this course description or a decision is taken to suspend a course between the offer of admissions and enrolment, we will inform applicants at the earliest possible opportunity and will outline the various options available to the applicant.
This course addresses contemporary issues in biomedical engineering. After graduation, you鈥檒l be ready to enter the biomedical engineering industry, especially in roles that demand knowledge of biomedical device design and development, biotechnology and regenerative medicine, and simulation and manufacturing technologies. In addition to developing your technical knowledge and experience, this programme will also help you improve your transferable and personal skills. These include problem-solving, critical thinking, team working, and communication.
As a graduate of this MSc, you鈥檒l be prepared to take on advanced roles in the biomedical and medical industries. For instance, you may seek roles in design, development and operations, research and testing, structures and analysis, or quality assurance. In particular, you鈥檒l be ready to promote and develop medical devices and undertake problem-solving for a biomedical engineering-based organisation.
You will likely seek to achieve Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, and this master鈥檚 degree is designed to meet the academic requirements leading to this professional registration.
Research is an exciting career path that will allow you to explore research and development roles or academia. An MSc can also be used as a stepping-stone if you wish to continue to study towards an MPhil or PhD.
MSc Biomedical Engineering graduates can also use the qualification to enter a range of other careers. For some of these roles, relevant experience and/or postgraduate study may be required. Career areas include:
Important note regarding tuition fees for the 2023-2024 academic year: EU nationals who meet residency requirements (have settled or pre-settled status) may be eligible for '直播做爱' fee status.
